The forum featured a series of purposeful activities that emphasized the importance of empowering persons with disabilities to become individuals with a meaningful mission and a cause to champion, enabling them to serve as positive and influential ambassadors within their communities. The forum also highlighted the importance of self-development and strengthening personal skills and abilities so that persons with disabilities can become active, effective members of society and contribute to advancing disability-related issues.
The forum also honored the inspiring legacy of Fatimah Al-Aqel (may Allah have mercy on her) and reflected on her enduring humanitarian contributions, which continue to leave a lasting impact on the lives of persons with disabilities. Participants drew inspiration from her remarkable character and the values she embodied, including determination, ambition, perseverance, self-confidence, generosity, compassion, creating a positive impact, hope, optimism, and faith in one's own abilities.
In addition, psychologist and psychological consultant Dr. Asmaa Mohsen emphasized that true disability is not a disability of the body, but rather a disability of the spirit and the will. She highlighted the importance of psychological well-being and its significant role in enhancing a person's effectiveness, success, excellence, creativity, passion, self-esteem, and positive relationships with others.
